Toratec is a young and fast growing company with many years of experience in designing and building new and reliable sorting technologies. The company introduced their latest metal sensor based sorting machines for the American market on the ISRI show in Las Vegas.
Together with their partner for North-America and Mexico, the gUSShredder & Casting Grouph they showed how todayfs sorting equipment is able to sort all metals with a high capacities and high qualities by stacking them to a tower, the so-called EcoTowerSort. This world wide unique system costs less than other systems in the market and because of the little space it needs and the best possible degree of efficiency. It gives the best possible return of invest too.
Further news is their first own NIR Sorter NSB is build for plastic sorting and their X-ray Sorter based on X-ray Fluorescence technologies for different applications in the metal light- and heavy fraction is ready too, this machine will be introduced in the Japanese market very soon.

The newly-introduced EcoTowerSort metal sorter saves on space thanks to its unique gdouble deckerh design, according to manufacturer Toratec GmbH.
Capable of sorting all metals including stainless steel, the machinefs width range varies from 600 to 3000 mm while further decks can be added to the system.
Different modular sorting technologies are implemented with the EcoTowerSort. Depending on the task in hand, eddy currents, inductive metal sensors, optical camera sensors (CCD), near infrared sensors (NIR) or combinations of these different technologies are utilized.
Input material is sorted on-line into several output streams such that a repeated material input is prevented and a suitable material distribution is achieved for the best possible sorting result. Distribution of the material is optimized at each sorting step. Material can be ejected by the use of air or via an airless method based on the paddle or finger system, explains the manufacturer. |
