New technology combines magnetic separation and metal sorting
Eriez and Toratec have combined their magnetic separation and metal sorting technology with the introduction of the EcoTowerSort. This compact machine enables total recovery of valuable metals at a lower overall investment cost. It can be used for the sorting of aluminum, stainless steel, copper cables, heavy fractions, and will recover stainless steel and plastic-coated wires. more

Manufacturers combine to help a Japanese recycler separate and recover nonferrous metals from a mixed stream. The global nature of the economy and the scrap recycling industry in particular can be seen in the multi-national effort by Spain’s Toratec Recycling Solutions to devise a sorting and separating system for a scrap recycler in Japan. more

Toratec is a young and fast growing company with many years of experience in designing and building new and reliable sorting technologies. The company introduced their latest metal sensor based sorting machines for the American market on the ISRI show in Las Vegas.
Together with their partner for North-America and Mexico,the “USShredder & Casting Group” they showed how today’s sorting equipment is able to sort all metals with a high capacities and high qualities by stacking them to a tower, the so-called EcoTowerSort. This world wide unique system costs less than other systems in the market and because of the little space it needs and the best possible degree of efficiency. Further news is their first own NIR Sorter NSB is build for plastic sorting and their X-ray Sorter based on X-ray Fluorescence technologies for different applications in the metal light- and heavy fraction is ready too, this machine will be introduced in the Japanese market very soon.
